“Lenses aren’t lenses” any more!

In fact, if you’re wearing bifocals or never got used to multifocals or struggle because if you have one pair of glasses on and you can’t function at another distance to read this,-chances are, it may be simply because you have not known about the massive technological improvements available in your spectacle lenses and total eye comfort.

Eye comfort means today a whole lot more than what it represented to you and your family or our clients, even as recently as just five years ago. Major advances in lens design and production can mean for example, that scripts can be ground both on the front and back of your lens if necessary, to correct your vision as well as alterations in your prescription to enhance your visual function and efficiency.

There are in excess of 30 different designs of multifocal lenses available and they all have different qualities which need to be carefully aligned with your particular individual lifestyle. Even those suffering the pangs of severe astigmatism no longer need to have, unsightly thick lenses and can now enjoy optimal vision, with thinner cosmetically flattering high refractive lenses.

Prescription lenses of the highest quality are also available with polarising filters or ‘transition’ (sun changing) lenses for a sports or active lifestyle. In fact, you may actually need different scripts for different work styles or hobby/craft work. Special lenses can be fitted to your favourite frame or elegant sunglass selection with no compromise in look or feel.

Our preferred companies make the finest ‘top end’ lenses and all are meticulously fitted to Eyes InDesign’s above ‘normal industry’ standards; in fact, we are recognised as a benchmark for best practice in Australia. Also some of the lenses we use are not even able to be manufactured in Australia yet and we source them from the precision optical technology in Japan and Germany.
